Sambalpur: Dr. Ramchandani’s Great Initiative; Provided Expensive Injections to Five Poor Kidney Patients

Sambalpur: Dr. Shankar Ramchandani, an Assistant Professor in the Medicine Department of Vimsar, has extended a helping hand to five poor kidney patients. These patients urgently needed a special injection called Darbepoetin Alfa, which is essential for those suffering from severe kidney disease.

Patients Could Not Afford the Costly Injection

While the injection was crucial, some patients could not afford to buy it. Each dose costs Rs. 1,343, making it very difficult for poor patients to access.

Dr. Ramchandani Took Action

After learning about their financial struggles, Dr. Ramchandani identified five such patients and personally bought the injections for them. He then called them to his one-rupee clinic and administered the injections himself.
