Major IAS Reshuffle in Odisha: 20 District Collectors Transferred

In a significant reshuffle at the IAS level, the Odisha government has transferred 20 district collectors. The government aims to bring fresh administrative strength to the districts through this large-scale transfer.

Key Changes

Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, Jajpur’s Collector, has been transferred and appointed Director of Odisha Rural Development and Water Conservation. P. Anvesha Reddy will succeed him as the new Collector of Jajpur.

Swadha Deb Singh, Nayagarh’s Collector, has been transferred and appointed as the Additional Secretary of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department. Akshay Sunil Agrawal, the current Collector of Sambalpur, will become the Collector of Nayagarh.

New Appointments

Dilip Routray, the current Director of the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department, has been appointed as the new Collector of Bhadrak. Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyay will succeed him in his previous position.

Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, who previously served as Secretary of the Board of Revenue, has been appointed to the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department. Ashish Thackeray, the former Collector of Balasore, will succeed Upadhyay.

Additional appointments include Vijay Kumar Das to Gajapati, Smruti Ranjan Pradhan to Kendrapara, Parul Patwari to Rayagada, Amrut Rituraj to Kandhamal, and Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar to Sambalpur.
