Rising Heat Troubles Devotees
Sambalpur: The first week of March has brought a rise in temperature. By 11 AM, stepping outside has become difficult due to the intense heat. As a result, devotees visiting the Samaleswari Temple are struggling with the scorching sun.
Water Sprinkling Arrangement for Devotees
To address this issue, the Samaleswari Temple Trust Board has arranged water sprinkling for the devotees. Sanjay Babu, the chairman of the trust board, informed that devotees standing in the barricaded queue for darshan will get relief from the heat through this system.

Challenges Faced by Devotees
Since the launch of the Samaleswari Temple Project, devotees have been waiting in long queues before entering the temple. Though sheds have been built under the project for the waiting area, the queue leading to the temple remains exposed to the sun. The stone-paved pathway lacks overhead shade, making devotees suffer from extreme heat.
Water Sprinkling for a Better Experience
Now, water sprinklers will be installed along the queue to provide cooling relief. This arrangement will not only protect devotees from heatstroke but also ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience during the darshan of Maa Samaleswari.
Positive Response from Devotees
Many devotees have welcomed this initiative, expressing their gratitude towards the temple management for considering their comfort.
