Zomato Gets a New Identity; Company to be Known as ‘Eternal’ Now

Company Approves the Name Change

Popular food delivery app Zomato has officially changed its name to Eternal Limited. The company’s board has already approved this decision, and now it is waiting for shareholders’ approval. Once the name change is finalized, the company’s official name will change from Zomato Limited to Eternal Limited.

Website and Stock Ticker to Change

Along with the name change, Zomato’s official website will shift from zomato.com to eternal.com. Additionally, its stock ticker will also change from Zomato to Eternal.

Business Operations Will Remain the Same

Despite the name change, the company will continue its main businesses, including Zomato food delivery, Blinkit, District, Hyperpure, and restaurant services. Customers will not experience any disruption in services.

Reason Behind the Name Change

Recently, Zomato acquired a company named Blinkit, which has become a significant part of its operations. Because of this expansion, Zomato decided to rebrand itself with a new name that better represents its diverse businesses.

Zomato is no longer just a restaurant listing platform. Over time, it has expanded into various sectors, including food delivery, grocery delivery, hyperlocal services, and quick commerce.

CEO’s Vision for the Future

According to Zomato’s founder Deepinder Goyal, the name ‘Eternal’ is not just a name but a mission statement. He emphasized that the company’s existence is not just for the present but will continue long into the future.

Zomato’s Journey Since 2007

Deepinder Goyal founded Zomato in 2007 under the name ‘Foodiebay’. Initially, the company focused only on uploading restaurant menus online. However, over the years, Zomato evolved into a leading food delivery and e-commerce giant.

With this new identity, the company aims to continue its growth, innovation, and commitment to customer service.
