Sambalpur: 10-Year-Old Boy Falls from Moving Train Near Sambalpur, Successfully Rescued by RPF

Sambalpur: A 10-year-old boy narrowly avoided a tragic accident after falling off a moving train. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) team responded quickly, resulting in his successful rescue and reunion with his family.

Boy Falls from Moving Train

Preetish Prajna, the son of Manas Hota of Brahmapur, was traveling with his parents on train 18426 (Puri-Durg Express). While his parents were sleeping, Preetish wandered near the train’s gate. Unfortunately, due to his carelessness, he slipped and fell from the moving train near Angarapoda village, approximately 4 kilometers from Redhakhol railway station.

Timely Rescue by RPF

At the time of the incident, a passing goods train driver noticed the boy lying on the tracks and immediately reported it to Redhakhol railway station. The RPF team responded quickly, arriving on the scene to rescue Preetish. Fortunately, the boy sustained only minor injuries and was transported to Redhakhol Hospital for treatment.

Parents’ Ordeal and Swift Action

Preetish’s parents, who were unaware of the situation, anxiously searched for him in the train following the fall. When his father realized his son was missing, he immediately contacted the RPF helpline at 139 from Dhenkanal station. The RPF promptly informed him that Preetish had been located and was safe at Redhakhol Hospital. The relieved parents hurried to the hospital to reunite with their son.
