Following Majhi’s complaint, Burla SDPO Ambit Mahanti and Burla police station in-charge Anil Pradhan formed a team to investigate. Using CCTV footage and other information, the police tracked down and arrested the suspects. They also found the bike (OD 05P 7442) and the iron rod used in the crime.
The investigation revealed that the suspects were involved in several robberies in various districts and states. They would rent a place in one area, commit a robbery, and then relocate to another. Arresting these interstate robbers presented a significant challenge for the police.
