Sambalpur: 40 Days Water Cut in Power Channel; Maintenance Work at Chipilima Hydropower Station
Sambalpur: The Odisha Hydropower Corporation has announced that the water flow in the power channel from the Head Regulator to Chipilima Hydropower Station will be completely halted for 40 days. This is due to essential maintenance work scheduled at the Chipilima Hydropower Station.
Maintenance Schedule
The detailed maintenance, including the inspection of both the Four-Bay and Extended Four-Bay units of the Chipilima station, will begin after November 10. Consequently, from November 10 until December 20, there will be no water flow in the power channel.

Restoration of Water Flow
Officials have stated that water will be re-released into the power channel either at 6 AM on December 21 or at the earliest convenient time afterward.
Public Advisory
During this period, the public is strongly advised not to enter the power channel. The Odisha Hydropower Corporation has issued a public notice to ensure safety, requesting that no one accesses the power channel while the maintenance work is ongoing.
