Sambalpur: Sambalpur University administration has taken strict action against non-teaching staff who have been arriving late for duty. For months, many employees have been ignoring official work timings and coming at their convenience. Finally, the university authorities decided to act.
Today, the university registrar, Dr. Nrupa Raj Sahu, personally locked the main administrative building gate at 10:30 AM. Employees who arrived on time were allowed inside, but those who were late were locked out.
42 Employees Stuck Outside for Half an Hour
The security guard locked the gate while 42 non-teaching staff members were still outside. They had to wait for nearly half an hour before the guard allowed them in. Dr. Sahu personally monitored the situation and noted down the names of those who arrived late.

After a brief period, the latecomers were warned and then allowed inside. However, Dr. Sahu made it clear that from tomorrow, anyone arriving late will face strict disciplinary action.

This is not the first time the university has taken action against rule violations. Previously, several non-teaching staff and even faculty members faced disciplinary measures for misconduct and disrupting order.
