5.5 kg Marijuana (ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ) seized in sambalpur, Three people including a couple were arrested
Sambalpur: Marijuana (ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ) was seized from a private bus stand under Ainthapali police station in Sambalpur.
The Ainthapali police patrol team was on patrolling duty on Friday morning when they were informed that Marijuana (ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ) was being transported at a private bus stand in Ainthapali. The patrol team raided the bus stand around 9:10 a.m Friday. Police arrested three people, including a husband and wife, who were waiting for the bus, holding Marijuana in the waiting hall of the bus stand.
During the investigation, the Marijuana (ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ) was found in the bag they were holding. Police arrested three people and took them to a police station. The arrested accused are Ram Kishan Chhira of Jhanda area of Jabalpur district and his wife Kalpana alias Parvati Chhira and Akash Sahu of Gad area of Jabalpur district.
Police confiscated 5.5 kg of Marijuana (ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ) and three mobile phones and Rs 3,450 in cash from them. Three suspects were arrested and arraigned in court on Friday. They are said to be carrying the Marijuana (ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ) from Sonepur to Jabalpur.
