5000 Startup Ideas will come from Educational Institutions
Bhubaneswar: To inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship among the students, Odisha Startup Tour and Startup Express are continuing on behalf of Startup Odisha. This campaign aims to collect 5000 startup ideas from various schools and colleges in the state. Most of these ideas will be transformed into real startups, said the executive chairman of Startup Odisha, Omkar Rai said. Addressing the boot camp held at Ramadevi Women’s University conference room today, he said that Startup Odisha has reached more than 2000 colleges and more than 33 thousand night students from more than 50 schools through the vans and boot camps organized so far. More than 3700 ideas have been collected from them. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaikk started the startup journey in September this year. Currently, it has been 37 days. By the end of the trip, the number of ideas from the students will exceed our expectations
Startup trip reached 33,000 students
41 percent of the startups registered in the state are run by women entrepreneurs, he said, adding that he hoped that the number of startups set up by women in food processing, handicrafts and handicrafts would increase further. On this occasion, Ramadevi Women’s University Vice-Chancellor Professor Aparajita Choudhury said that Startup Odisha is a boon for young entrepreneurs. She expressed hope that the students can become successful entrepreneurs after learning from this camp. Start the Millet Innovation Challenge
Bhubaneswar: Millet Innovation Challenge (Nabasrujan Competition) has been launched by Startup Odisha to empower startups in the Millet sector. Companies working in Millet Shell’s branding and packaging, logistics and supply chain, quality assurance and security, financial and legal management can apply. Regarding this challenge, the chief secretary of the State Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Dr. Arvind Padhi said that the main objective of this challenge is to provide support to startups working on Millet. The top three startups from this challenge will be given financial prizes of Rs. 3 lakh, Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. 1 lakh respectively.
