Sambalpur: Samlei Scheme Project will be completed in December

Sambalpur: Chief Minister’s personal secretary and 5T secretary V.K. Pandian on the second day of his visit to Sambalpur district, visited various temples with special emphasis on law enforcement, farmers, and women. On this occasion, he informed about some important decisions of the state government. Now farmers are being given interest waivers on agricultural loans up to one lakh rupees. Some other good decisions have been made for the farmers. Earlier crop insurance was implemented for some other crops besides paddy. All crops have been covered from this year. Farmers no longer have to pay premiums for crop insurance. Farmers will register for crop insurance only and the premium amount will be paid by the government to the farmers.

In the morning, V.K Pandian informed that the project will be completed by December after reviewing the Samlei project in the morning. 70 lakh women of Odisha have been involved in Mission Shakti. This year, there is a plan to provide loans of Rs.1500 crore to SHGs across the state. Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Vinil Krishna, Sambalpur RDC Suresh Dalai, IG Deepak Kumar, District Collector Ananya Das, SP Mukesh Bhamu were prominently present.
