Sambalpur: Inefficiency of SMC Department, Main road of the city is in dilapidated condition

Sambalpur: The main road in the city is in a dilapidated condition. All the streets and roads are waiting for repair and in some places, the road has not been completed yet.

The condition of the roads from Fatak to Ainthapali, Jail Street to Municipal Street, Khetrajpur Road to Remed, Panchgachia to Railway Underbridge, and Ashok Takies Street to Sakhipada Road is very bad. The people of the city are suffering because of the inadequacy of the Enforcement and the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation.

Roads leading to Durgapali, Budharaja, Modipada, and other areas have been destroyed. Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation has not taken any action regarding that road, officials are not aware of the growing dissatisfaction among the people regarding the roads leading to many villages due to the lack of elected members. Lakshmi Talkies to Modipada Street, Sambalpur City to Modipada Farm Road, and Ainthapali to Budharaja Road are now destroyed. It can be tendered but not built. But it is frequently repaired.

Meetings are being held frequently on this issue. There is a meeting between the District Collector, SMC Commissioner and the former department regarding the road problem. But the road problem of the city cannot be solved. Even contacted the SMC Commissioner and the entire department executive, there was no response.
