Sambalpur: Chief Minister’s assistance of Rs. 10 lakhs for treatment of Nitish Sahu Suffering from DMD (Rare Muscular Disease)
Sambalpur: Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik has again extended his hand of cooperation in Sambalpur for the treatment of rare diseases. Nitish Sahu of Bindupur village of Naktideul Block, Sambalpur, who is suffering from DMD (Rare Muscular Disease), needs money for better treatment. District Collector Ananya Das presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to him today at the Sambalpur District Collector’s office.
In 2017, when Nitish was studying in class 2, this rare disease appeared in his body. It is a genetic disease, the baby is infected while the mother is in the womb. Now Nitish is bedridden. There is no specific medicine for this disease. His father Kaushik Sahu said that only physical therapy can cure some problems. Mr. Sahu and social worker Nandakishore Pradhan informed the State Government through the Sambalpur Collector that he needed a lot of money for this treatment.
However, in two months only, the Chief Minister extended a helping hand and gave Rs. 10 lakh. Nitish’s family expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik, the state government, and the district magistrate for this.
Kaushik said that he will get his son treated for 10 lakh rupees. On the other hand, Nitish expressed his happiness on getting the help of the Chief Minister It is worth noting that all the patients suffering from this rare disease have been given Rs. 10 lakhs from the Chief Minister’s fund and a guideline was issued by Health and Family Welfare last May. A few days ago, Shritam of Chiplima was also given Rs. 10 lakhs.
