Onion prices suddenly skyrocketed because no one had any information. If you ask the consumer shop, they say that the above prices have increased. Therefore, there is an accusation of the hands of big traders.
After removing potatoes and onions from the list of essential commodities, now even the supply department cannot control the demand. There is a general complaint that some profit-seeking businessmen are increasing their prices. Onion is expensive in Nashik, Maharashtra and its impact is also being discussed in Odisha. Onion prices increase from August to November every year. In about a week, the prices are reduced. Artificial scarcity is created by corporate houses stocking large quantities of goods when the prices change slightly in the market. In addition to keeping a large amount of things at once, they also have enough money and space. It is said that they are selling it at a high price, but the common people are suffering. So there is a general demand for the government to pay attention.
