Sambalpur: Banaras-Sambalpur Express extended to Visakhapatnam, Railway Minister Ashwini’s call to join Odisha’s development
If Odisha is not developed, India will not develop: Sri Dharmendra Pradhan
Sambalpur: Banaras-Sambalpur two-weekly express has been extended to Visakhapatna. Union Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnab and Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan flagged off the train at the Sambalpur railway station. On the occasion of this event, Union Minister of Railway Mr. Vaishnab has openly called upon the state government to cooperate in the development of Odisha. Union Minister Shri Vaishnab said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done justice to states like Odisha. Before 2014, Odisha was given Rs 800 crore from the Centre. Now the grant amount has reached 10 thousand crore rupees.
Similarly, construction of new railway line was 50 km per year before 2014. Now 9 times more 450 km construction work is done per year. On this occasion, Union Railway Minister said that 57 railway stations of Odisha will be converted into global railway stations. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, if Odisha is not developed, the country will not be developed. So the Prime Minister is giving huge amount of money to Odisha with that goal. The Congress government has given Rs 3 lakh crore to Odisha in the last 10 years. But the Modi government has given 18 lakh crore rupees in 9 years and 4 months. 6 thousand telephone towers have been installed in Odisha. Earlier, Odisha was getting Rs 5,000 crore as mining revenue from the Centre. Now the Prime Minister has changed the rules. As a result, Odisha is getting only 50 thousand crores of mining revenue. The preliminary work for the new railway line from Bargarh-Nupada line, Jharsuguda to Barkot has started. Dharmendra also requested Shri Vaishnav to run a train to Ayodhya. Sambalpur MP Nitesh Gangdev, Rengali MLA Nauri Naik attended the meeting held in Sambalpur as guests of honour. Similarly, a virtual meeting was held at Bargarh Road, Balangir, Kesinga Station. Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari, Rajya Sabha MP Niranjan Bishi, Balangir MP Sangeeta Singhdeo, Kalahandi MP Basant Panda Major attended the event as honored guests.
