Parking is a problem in Sambalpur city. In many places of the city, small traders sit on the roadside. There is a traffic problem as people line up to buy things there. Despite the demand for a vending zone, steps are not being taken to solve the problem. Although there are 6 vending zones proposed for the pickers, no concrete steps are being taken in this direction. At present, many commercial establishments do not have their own parking facilities. People are forced to park on the road. This is causing traffic problems.

Small accidents are also happening many times. Vigilant citizens are also demanding that business establishments be ordered to set up their own parking facilities, levy fines, and revoke permits. There is a need to take appropriate measures to control the crowd at Golebazar Street. It has been proposed for a long time to construct a modern-style parking structure on the Golebazar Dhobijor drain, which will eliminate the parking problem and also control the crowd, and generate some revenue for the government in the form of a ‘parking fee’.
