Demand for the opening of Temple gates and Ratna Bhandar: Bhakta Jagarana Public Awareness Drive by Sri Jagannath Sena in Sambalpur
Sambalpur: Bhakta Jagarana Public Awareness Drive has started in Sambalpur on behalf of Sri Jagannath Sena. Devotees of Sri Jagannath Sena’s Bhakti Jagran Public Awareness campaign have started at Jagannath Temple in Jharduapada, Sambalpur, demanding the opening of the 4 doors of the temple and the Ratna Bhandar.
On the last 4th, the management committee of the temple decided that only laser scanning of the Ratna Bhandar would be done. But the gems will not count. Shri Jagannath Sena strongly opposes this decision of the management committee. It is the administration’s diplomacy, claims. After conducting this public relations program in Ganjam, Khurda, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Malkangari, Kendrapara and Cuttack districts, the group has now reached Sambalpur. In the coming days, this program will continue in the entire state, informed the lawyer Priyadarshan Pattnaik, the central representative of Sri Jagannath Sena.
Mr. Pattnaik said that on October 3, a shutdown was called in Odisha regarding these two demands (opening of the four doors of the temple and opening of the Ratna Bhandar) on behalf of the Sri Jagannath Sena. But the Hon’ble High Court and the state government intervened in the matter of opening the four doors and opening the Ratna Bhandar and gave a written promise to complete the Sri Temple Parikrama project within 2 months and open the four doors. However, if the four doors are not opened after the completion of the project, Odisha will be called to close.
