Sambalpur: Labour Minister Sarada Prasad Nayak’s Surprise visit to ESI Hospitals in Sambalpur and Hirakud!!
Hirakud: There has been no change in the ESI Hospital at Hirakud despite the agitation over the non-availability of doctors and shortage of staff. This drew the attention of Labour Minister Sarada Nayak. On Wednesday, Labour Minister Mr. Nayak, who was visiting Sambalpur to attend the senior citizens’ march, suddenly arrived at the Hirakud ESI Hospital. He said that he was aware of the shortage of staff in the hospital and that the problems would be addressed immediately.
On the other hand, despite the state government providing an amount of Rs 3 crore for the renovation of the ESI hospital, Minister Shri Nayak expressed his displeasure at the deplorable condition of the hospital. Minister Mr. Nayak first visited the hospital for workers. He also wanted to see the log book of the Ambulance for the workers, which the employee refused to show. By the time the minister arrived, there were two doctors in the hospital. The minister discussed various issues with them. In the meantime, he reached the doctor’s chamber, inspected the staff of the hospital, and asked each employee about his work. It is worth noting that in hospitals, there is a lot of aggression among the workers regarding health care. The workers’ representative Sunil Mohapatra informed the patients were forced to go to the Hindalco hospital because the workers were unable to give the injection.
