Sambalpur: Rescue of baby girl from abandoned tube wells, Fire DG gave detailed information about the rescue operation
Sambalpur: Fire DG Sudshanshu Sarangi has given detailed information about the rescue operation of a newborn baby girl from an abandoned tubewell in Laripali under the Rengali police station of Sambalpur district on Tuesday night. Mr. Sarangi said Northern Fire Range Officer Salil Prakash Kindo and Sushant Raul reached the spot with their team. Our team reached the spot at 2:46 pm. The firemen’s first task was to find out how to oxygenate the child inside the abandoned tube well. We requested the pharmacist of Rengali Group Health Center (CHC) to come to the spot and then the cooperation of the local authorities was very important for machine digging and cleaning the soil from the place.
Mr. Sarangi said, “The pipe had to be cut very carefully because it mattered the child not fell for our little mistake. We searched the victim’s location camera to find out where the baby piped and how far away she was. As the Chief Minister was personally reviewing the incident, a special flight was immediately sent to send the camera from Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda. Before the cameras arrived, we were done digging. We then very gently and sensitively rescued the baby and handed it over to the medical team.
