Sambalpur: Bijayananda Pruseth became a member of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal
Sambalpur: One more Odia has been given a big responsibility, while many Odia have been appointed under the central government, Bijayananda Pruseth of Kuchinda district of Sambalpur district has been appointed as an officer of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. He will work in this for 4 years.
Bijayananda, the son of the Late Ratnakar Pruseth and Basantilata Pruseth, completed his higher education at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi and joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) as an officer. He worked as a senior revenue officer in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Raipur, Vadodara, Cuttack, etc, and also served as the AGM of the Reserve Bank of India. This year, he retired as the Chief Income Tax Commissioner of Mumbai. While he was the Income Tax Commissioner in Sambalpur, he opened income tax offices in Jharsuguda and Rourkela and laid the foundation for the construction of income tax offices in Balangir.
