Sambalpur: Jaga Mission Success; 10,005 People Receive Land Ownership in Sambalpur!
Sambalpur: Exciting news from Sambalpur! Imagine living in a place where you didn’t own the land under your home. Scary, right? But guess what? In a special program, the Chief Minister virtually gave out Land Rights Certificates (LRC) to 10,005 people in Sambalpur, Burla, and Hirakud cities.
Before this, many folks lived in slums on government land. They didn’t own it, and life was tough without basic things like water and a secure home. Plus, they worried about being told to leave at any time. But now, with the Jaga Mission, things are changing!
The government did a survey of 115 slums in the city. Based on this, they gave out LRCs to 10,005 people. These certificates mean they now officially own the land they live on. The Chief Minister celebrated this by virtually handing out certificates at a special event in Mandalia Field.
Six lucky people received their land title certificates directly from Redhakhol MLA Rohit Pujari, District Collector Akhya Sunil Agrawal, and SMC Commissioner Bedbhushan. Their names are Lily Khadiya from Burla Central Line, Brundha Kanda from Danibandh of Saliabagicha, Nuri Das from Ambedkar Nagar, Tarani Suna from Mayabagicha, Binodini Pradhan from Malibagicha, and Gula Gardia from Harijan Pada of Remed.
This is just the beginning! The Jaga Mission wants to give land rights to 34,000 people in Sambalpur. The Commissioner said that today, 10,005 people got LRCs, and the rest will get them in phases after more surveys.
So, in simple words, a lot of people in Sambalpur now have a special paper that says the land under their homes is officially theirs. This makes them feel safe and happy. More people will get this special paper soon. Yay for everyone getting their own piece of land!
