Sambalpur: Transforming Lives; 400 Disable Person Flourish at Sambalpur’s Empowerment Camp
Sambalpur: The Government of India organized a social empowerment camp under the ADIP initiative to empower differently-abled people using assistive devices. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organized the camp, which benefited 400 people from 9 Sambalpur blocks.
The beneficiaries were 54 from Bamara, 62 from Dhankauda, 55 from Jamankira, 74 from Jujumura, 49 from Kuchinda, 21 from Maneswar, 30 from Naktideul, 5 from Redhakhol, and 50 from Rengali. A total of 832 gadgets, worth Rs. 43,80,513, were distributed, including Daily Living Kits, Battery Operated Motor Tricycles, Braille Bed Folding, Braille Kits, Wheelchairs, Hearing Aids, and tricycles.
Rengali MLA Nauri Naik attended the occasion, as did District Social Security Officer Thabira Mahanand.
