Sambalpur: Sambalpur’s Health Services Neglected; Battery-Powered Wheelchair for Patients Left Unused, Falling Apart
Sambalpur: Various schemes are being implemented to provide health services to the public. It is also important to handle it successfully. However, due to the incompetence of officials and employees health services are not properly administered, and the public complains from time to time. We now see such a picture of neglect. The battery-powered wheelchair, which was introduced in 2019 to enable patients to get from one location to another, is now useless. Questions have also been raised about why the mentioned vehicle is not being maintained.
According to the complaint, the e-vehicle has been on the property of the DHH administration building for many years. This battery-powered vehicle is in very poor condition. It is widely assumed that this e-vehicle, which was introduced to provide services to patients, is now looking for services. The hospital’s scope has expanded beyond its previous capacity. At various times critical patients come here for treatment. Similarly, many elderly people also come to DHH for treatment. This vehicle was brought here in 2019 to transport such patients from one place to another for medical assistance.
This e-vehicle was also launched during the hospital’s Sakhi Kendra opening ceremony. The vehicle suddenly vanished after a few months of existence. It is unclear why this already-mentioned e-vehicle is no longer being used. CDMO Dr. Sujatarani Mishra’s attention was drawn. He is unaware of the incident, which occurred in 2019. She stated that he would investigate the incident.
