Sambalpur: Speeding Car Hits Roadside Vendors at Lakshmi Talkies Chowk
Sambalpur: This morning in Sambalpur, a speeding car nearly caused a tragic accident near the Lakshmi Talkies Chowk. A group of roadside vendors, who sell items on the side of the road near the Ashapali School, barely escaped a life-threatening accident due to their quick reactions. Many of these vendors are from nearby villages and regularly bring goods to sell at this location.

The Incident
Around 10 a.m., a car came speeding towards the Behera Petrol Pump area, which is opposite where these vendors set up their stalls. The car swerved onto the roadside and rammed into the vendors’ stalls. However, the vendors, noticing the car approaching dangerously, managed to jump out of the way just in time to save their lives.
Response from Authorities
The incident created panic among people in the area, but before the situation could worsen, traffic police stationed at Lakshmi Talkies Chowk and officers from the local town police station arrived promptly. They quickly brought the situation under control and ensured the area was safe for both vendors and pedestrians.
