Four-Month Vacancy for Permanent Vice-Chancellor
Sambalpur: The position of Vice-Chancellor at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla has remained vacant for four months, with Professor B.B. Pati currently serving as interim Vice-Chancellor. The last permanent Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Banshidhar Majhi, completed his three-year term on August 6. Following his term’s end, the government appointed Professor B.B. Pati as acting Vice-Chancellor on August 7.

Recruitment Attempts Halted by Election and Government Transition
Earlier, in April, before Dr. Majhi’s term ended, the government issued a notification inviting applications for the Vice-Chancellor position, attracting 15 candidates. However, due to the state elections and subsequent government change, the recruitment process was canceled.
