Sambalpur: Hirakud Eco Retreat 2024 Inauguration; Visitors to Enjoy Luxury Stays and Adventure Sports, Opens Till February 28
Sambalpur: Like every year, this year too, the Hirakud Eco Retreat was inaugurated today at 11 AM by the Tourism Department. The District Council Chairperson, Kumodini Nayak, attended the event as the Chief Guest.

Other key officials who participated in the ceremony included Northern Range IG Himanshu Lal, District Collector Siddheswar Baliram Bondar, SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamu, Sambalpur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vedabhushan, Divisional Forest Officer Kalunge Gourakh Waman, IPS (Probationer) Shubham Bhosale, Chief District Development Officer Prasanna Kumar Patra, Sub-Collector Pushpanjali Panda, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister’s representative Bibhuti Kalyan Patel, and Kilasama Sarpanch Gauri Barik. Several other district-level officers were also present.

Accommodation Details
This year, the eco-retreat provides 25 luxurious cottages. The cost for one night in a cottage (Monday to Friday) is Rs. 5,000. On weekends (Saturday and Sunday), the price is Rs. 6,000 per night. From December 22 to January 2, during the peak holiday season, the rate is Rs. 7,000 per night.

In addition to Hirakud, eco-retreats were inaugurated today in other locations such as Satkosia, Daringbadi, Putsil, Sonapur, and Bhitarkanika.
