Sambalpur: Sambalpur RTO Rescues Accident Victim; Ensures Immediate Medical Aid
Sambalpur: The Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Sambalpur, Ramdas Tudu, today rescued a critically injured man and ensured his admission to the hospital. While returning from a public grievance meeting in Rairakhol, Mr. Tudu noticed a crowd gathered on the National Highway near Hatibari around 2 PM.
Immediate Action at the Accident Site
Upon investigating the scene, he found a severely injured motorcyclist lying on the road following an accident. Without waiting for an ambulance, Mr. Tudu quickly decided to transport the victim in his own vehicle to the Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

Life-Saving Decision
Explaining his prompt action, Mr. Tudu stated, “Waiting for an ambulance would have caused delays and could have endangered the injured person’s life. So, I immediately used my vehicle to take him to the hospital.”
Further Treatment in Burla
After initial treatment at the DHH, the victim was shifted to Burla Medical College and Hospital for advanced care. Mr. Tudu’s swift response has been appreciated by locals and hospital staff alike for potentially saving the man’s life.
