Police Seize Car with Ganja
Sambalpur: On the night of January 9, 2025, the Redhakhol Police conducted a raid near Kendukata Tarini Temple, located on the National Highway 153, which connects Ranchi and Vijayawada. During the operation, the police seized a car carrying 37 kilograms of ganja (marijuana). Three individuals involved in the smuggling were arrested.
The Arrested Individuals
The three arrested individuals have been identified as Sabyasachi Pradhan (25) from Saligaon village in Boudh district, Anant Mahakud (55) from Bamunda village, and Bhima Bhukta (31) from Pipalkata village. According to police sources, the accused were traveling in a car with the registration number DB-06-L-3170, transporting ganja from the Boudh region.

Details of the Operation
The police had received intelligence about the drug smuggling operation and intercepted the vehicle at Kendukata near the Redhakhol area. During the search, the police discovered 37 kilograms of ganja hidden in the car. The three individuals were arrested on the spot and taken into custody.
Legal Action
Following the arrests, the Redhakhol Police registered a case against the accused and later presented them in court. The police officer in charge, Sabita Lata Seth, confirmed the incident and stated that further investigations are underway.
