Sambalpur: 31st Annual Festival of Kala Academy Celebrated in Sambalpur; Eminent Artist Leena Meher Honored with Kala Academy Award

Sambalpur: Sambalpur Kala Academy celebrated its 31st Annual Festival on Sunday at Odisha Sanskrutik Samaj. The event took place under the chairmanship of Sanjay Mishra.

Distinguished Guests Attended the Event

Renowned artist Bholanath Nayak and playwright-music director Brajendra Nayak attended the ceremony as chief guests.

Awards and Honors Presented

The academy honored prominent artist Leena Meher with the Kala Academy Award. Additionally, Jharana Sahu and Roshni Rani Khamari received the Academy Honor. Karunakar Satapathy read the citation for the awards.

Musical Performances

Smruti Mishra, Adwaita Mishra, and Akanksha Mahapatra performed musical renditions during the event, entertaining the audience.

Art Competition and Prize Distribution

The event also included an art competition where 80 talented participants received awards for their outstanding work.
