Sambalpur: The Christian community in Sambalpur strongly opposed the release of the Odia film ‘Sanatani’. Today, they organized a protest rally, starting from Laxmi Talkies Chowk and marching towards the District Collector’s office.
Demands Submitted to the Chief Minister
After reaching the Collector’s office, the protesters submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister. They demanded an immediate ban on the film’s release, strict legal action against the filmmakers, and respect for all religions.

Key Leaders and Organizations Involved
Several prominent leaders, including Subash Sahani, Salila Panda, Dr. Surya Karada, and Manas Bush, actively participated in the protest. Along with them, various organizations such as Bhim Army, Moolnivasi Sena, and Sambalpur United Christian Forum joined the rally.
The protesters strongly insisted that the film should not be released as it might hurt religious sentiments.
