Sambalpur Adhisthatri Devi Maa Samaleswari’s second form as “Brahmacharini”

Brahmacharini is the second form of shakti. She is worshipped on the second day of Navaratri.Dressed in White and Holding a necklace of Rudraksha beads she did tapasya or penance for a 1000 years to attain Lord shiva.

Brahmacharini or Parvati was discouraged by her parents from marrying Shiva.but she persisted and lived in the mountains like an ascetic following in his footsteps.
