fire breaks out in a coal-loaded goods train
Bamra: Two bogies of a freight train carrying coal from MCL were found on fire. Firefighters at the Bamra railway station contained the blaze. The coal-laden train was on its way to Santaldih Thermal Power Station from MCL Sardegna on Tuesday.
The train’s guards, PK Ram , informed the Bamra station manager that he saw smoke coming out of the fire in the train’s buggy numbers 7 and 16. Station manager Tiknath Naik reported the train to the Gobindpur fire department as it was parked on the side of the Bamra station. Firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze. The high-powered electricity at the station caused problems in extinguishing the fire followed by a power outage. After about two hours of trying, the fire was extinguished and the train was sent to its destination.
