Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra was sworn in as an Odisha High Court judge
Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra was today sworn in as a judge of the Odisha High Court. Chief Justice Dr. Justice S.K. Muralidhar administered the oath to him. All the judges of the High Court were present on the occasion.
Mr. Mohapatra is the grandson of the late Publisher House Book Temple founder and grandson of the late Sridhar Mohapatra and the son of the late Abhiram Mohapatra. He was born on February 26, 1969. He graduated from Ravenshaw Collegiate School on the 1984. LLB from Madhusudan Law College. After earning his degree, he joined the High Court in 1995 as a lawyer.
As an associate of Justice PK Mishra, he began advocating in the High Court. He was handling the case as a lawyer in the High Court on behalf of many institutions like the Election Commission of India, the State Human Rights Commission, Biju Patnaik Technical University. For the past 26 years, he has handled many important cases in the High Court, earning a reputation throughout the state as a skilled lawyer. Following the appointment of Mr. Mohapatra, the number of judges in the Odisha High Court has risen to 18.
