Suresh Pujari addressed the Sambalpuri language in Parliament
Demanded to be included in the eighth Schedule
Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari on Tuesday demanded that the Sambalpuri language be included in Article VIII of the Constitution. Mr. Pujari, an MP, has made this claim Sambalpuri language as a matter of urgency. He drew the attention of the Home Minister to the Sambalpuri language in this regard. In his inaugural address, Mr. Pujari said, “In the Year of India, the Sambalpuri-Koshli language is one of the oldest and ancient language.
More than 1.5 crore people who are leading in different parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and India are speaking Sambalpuri language. This is an ancient scientific language that has its own language, its own vocabulary, and its own unique literature. Along with this, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the Srimad Bhagavatam Gita and other religious texts have also been translated into Sambalpuri. The Sanskrit language is the closest language to the this language. It has its own music, own song, own dance, own drama.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also presented Padma Shri to Sambalpuri writer Shri Haldhar Nag and Sambalpuri singer Shri Jitendra Haripal. This indirectly recognizes the Sambalpuri language.
Many times we have been demanding the recognition of Sambalpuri language and inclusion in the eighth schedule of the Constitution for the coverage of the language.
He addressed “Through you, I demand in front of the Home Minister of the Government of India that the Sambalpuri language should be included in Article VIII of the Constitution.”
