An unfortunate incident took place today in Burla Vimsar. The body, which had been stored in a freezer for 24 hours, was rotten in less than 24 hours. The family of the deceased has expressed intense dissatisfaction with the fact that the corpse is said to have rotted due to the extreme heat. Police questioned why the body was kept in a disorder freezer.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Sahu, 43, an engineer working for Shyam Metallics. Deepak , son of the late Gaganbihari Sahu of Bartanda village, Sukinda police station, Jajpur district, has been working as an engineer at Shyam Metallics in Pandloi, Rengali for the past 10 years. For some reason, he died inside the plant on Wednesday. The paramedics of plant pronounced him dead at the scene and was taken to Burla hospital. Medical police then filed a case and placed the body in a fridge near Fandi.
The family was informed of Deepak’s death. When the family arrived at 10 p.m. on Thursday to remove the body from the freezer, it was completely rotten. The body was okay when put in the freezer at 2 p.m. on Thursday. However, the family expressed dissatisfaction with the 24-hour rottenness. The family of the rotten man complained that the police had deliberately placed the body in the freezer. Asked by the medical fandi officer, Ganju Oram, he said the freezer was running while the body was being kept, maybe closed in the middle, so what can we do.
