Sambalpur: Many BJP and Congress workers from Rengali have joined the BJD
Sambalpur: Many BJP and Congress leaders and activists from the Rengali assembly constituency today joined the BJD at a amalgamation ceremony held at the Panthanibas conference room on Wednesday. Hundreds of other party members, including former Panchayat Samiti chairman Jitendra Panda, former Zilla Parishad vice-president Rajkumar Oram, along with four current committee members, two sarpanches, 11 former sarpanches and committee members, have joined the BJD.
The meeting, chaired by Siddhartha Das, was attended by Health and Family Welfare Minister Nab Das, who said the BJD would be even stronger in the undivided Sambalpur district in the coming days and that the BJD would win all the assembly constituencies in the upcoming elections.
BJD state observer Eng. Nalinikanth Pradhan said the BJD was of the opinion that it would be stronger after the participation of other party workers. Inspired by the ideology of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, he called on the people to work for the party and to convey to the people all the welfare schemes of the state government. Rengali Panchayat Samiti chairman Satya Narayan Agrawal, senior BJD leaders Devendra Pati, Sandeep Patnaik, Sunil Mishra, Motilal Tanti, Rajni Sahu, 4 Ashok Guru and Shantanu Hota were the keynote speakers.
