Sambalpur: Commotion at Lajpat Rai Law College: Teachers, staff beaten with egg

Sambalpur: Tensions erupted at LR Law College on Friday. This is due to the fact that Rs 62,78,000 in the college fund has been misappropriated and transferred to the university fund. Students and college alumni were outraged and staged a protest on Friday afternoon. The faculty and staff have been beaten with egg. On the other hand, the Chancellor of Sambalpur University, Sanjeev Mittal, was scheduled to arrive at LR Law College on Friday afternoon. Alumni planned to oppose him. The alumni sat in front of the main gate waiting for the VC. However, the chancellor did not return to college on Friday. The fund transfer will never be tolerated, Alumni said.
