Sambalpur: Family members alleged death of newborn baby due to medical negligence in Vimsar,commotion around the hospital
Burla: Burla Bhimsar has been repeatedly accused of failing to get an ICU and of having to die due to negligence on the part of doctors. Also on Sunday, a newborn baby was reported dead due to medical negligence. Tensions were high in the hospital on Sunday. The baby was born less than three days ago and died Sunday in the gynecology department of Burla Vimsar. According to information received, Shraddhanjali Badmali, wife of Abhijit Thanapati of Burla Jyoti vihar, was admitted by the family to the gynecology department of Burla Vimsar at 6 pm on the 18th. On the 19th, Shraddhanjali gave birth to a baby boy.The doctor said the baby was in good health. On Saturday, the doctor told her to go home and to show the baby to the pediatrician.
According to a pediatrician, the child’s condition was serious and began treatment. The baby was found unconscious at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and she told the doctor there. The baby was diagnosed with jaundice, and family members questioned how doctors at the obstetrics and gynecology department could not be reached for comment. There has been a lot of commotion about it in the hospital premises for some time. Family members have blamed the baby’s death on medical negligence. Vimsar Superintendent Prof Lal Mohan Nayak, on the other hand, said the situation was serious as the parents of the deceased child had different blood types. “On the other hand, there is no negligence on the part of the doctors,” he said.
