Sambalpur: Delivery Boy killed in fire: Gas agency owner arrested
Sambalpur: A fire broke out at the Maa Durga Go gas station in Kaishir on Tuesday, killing Sushant Ranjit, 27, of Khandual in Dhanupali police station. Ainthapali police have arrested Surjit Mishra, the owner of the gas station in the case. One person was killed and another was injured in the fire. Sushant’s father lodged a complaint with the Ainthapali police station on Wednesday, police said.
Notably, a gas leak occurred around 8am on Tuesday and a fire broke out at the Maa Durga Go Gas office. Sushant was alone there at the time. The fire was so intense that he could not get out of the house. Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after noon to contain the blaze. Sushant was rushed to the Sambalpur District General Hospital. There the doctor pronounced him dead.
