Sambalpur: The Union Minister toured the new permanent campus of IIM, Sambalpur
Sambalpur: Union Minister for Education, Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday visited the new permanent campus under construction at II4, Sambalpur and said that the campus, which is being built as a center for development, will give a new identity to Odisha in the world of management.
Mr. Pradhan has advised the local administration and the IIM authorities to develop the campus in accordance with the great culture and heritage of Odisha and Sambalpur. During the four years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule, development work has been underway in all areas, including education. Today, he toured the new permanent campus under construction at IIM, Sambalpur and discussed with the IIM authorities and local administrators to expedite the construction work.
The new campus, built as a pilgrimage site for development, will fulfill the aspirations of students from the state and the country. Sambalpur is one of the lands of art, culture and tradition. Therefore, the campus should be developed to embrace the arts, culture and heritage of the state and the country. Mr. Pradhan advised the professors to understand the potential of agriculture and industrial economy in Sambalpur district as per the National Education Policy 2020. During World Environment Day, he participated in a tree planting program on campus and distributed saplings to professors.
Later, Union Minister Shri Pradhan Chipilima visited a military school in Goshala. Many students at the school were happy to be enrolled. Sambalpur Lok Sabha MP Nitesh Gangadev, Rengali MLA Nauri Nayak, District Magistrate Divyajyoti Parida, Deputy District Magistrate Suryavanshi Peacock Development were present on the occasion.
