Sambalpur: 1 Quintal marijauna seized, 4 accused arrested

Sambalpur: Marijuana smuggling was going on from Koraput to Uttar Pradesh. After receiving information from a reliable source, Sambalpur Investigation team has achieved great success. The team seized 1 quintal of marijauna and arrested 4 accused. A car has also been seized. After receiving information about the smuggling of marijauna, under the supervision of Abkari Deputy Commissioner Rajendra Bothro, under the supervision of Abkari Deputy Commissioner Ashish Kumar, the Sambalpur Abkari Investigation team patrolled various places.

Inspector Shashikant Dutt, Abkari Investigation team along with SI Dilip Rath, while patrolling on Biju Expressway on Friday morning, saw a car and tried to stop it. But the car was run away. Due to suspicion, the team chased the said vehicle and caught it near Kilasama. After checking, 1 quintal 1 kg 300 grams of marijauna came out of the said car. The said marijuana was seized by the unemployment department. The estimated cost of which is said to be 5 lakh rupees.

Along with this, the police arrested the 4 accused in the car, Gudu Khan and Kutu Yadav from Bihar and Shiv Bahadur and Munna Patel from Uttar Pradesh. 18,500 rupees in cash, 2 mobile phones and a car (UP 32 CK 1706) were seized from them. The unemployment department said that the marijauna was being exported to Uttar Pradesh from Koraput Semiliguda.

Accused followed Pushpa film, secret chamber under the seat

The craze of the movie ‘Pushpa’ starring Allu Arjun was seen across the country. The criminals have now followed Pushpa film. In ‘Pushpa’ a secret chamber was made under the milk tank and sandal wood was smuggling is done. However, the criminals who were caught in Sambalpur were moving on foot and selling Marijauna in secret chambers in cars. After searching the said car, the Sambalpur Immigration Department found this secret chamber and seized more than 1 quintal of marijauna from it. 1 quintal of marijauna seized, 4 arrested.
