According to Vinay’s complaint, his certificate was to be checked at the Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital in Cuttack on the 16th. But he received a letter from Lipinda post office on the afternoon of August 16. On the same day, he hired a four-wheeler and reached Cuttack, worried about the certificate verification. But by that time it was 5:45 pm. The hospital staff did not check the certificates that day and kept the xerox copies and asked Vinay to leave. However, he did not know whether the certificate was verified later or not. He apply for the post of Lab Technician in Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital. The certification was on the 16th. For this, a letter was sent to him by speed post from Cuttack on August 7th at 6:52 PM, which reached Lipinda Post Office at August 12th at 3:00 PM. If he had received the letter the same day or the next day, he would have been able to reach Cuttack in time to verify the certificate. But due to the post office’s negligence, he had to face the above problems and had to spend money, Binay alleged.
In this regard, when asked to Sudeshna Naik, SO of Lipinda branch post office, ‘I received the letter on August 12 at 3 pm. But by then my duty was over. On the 13th, I was busy with the Triranga program at my house. August 15th was Independence Day. As a result, the letter was delivered on the 16th. People did not know Vinay’s name after asking about the letter in the village. Because Binay’s name is Mantu. I have 3 responsibilities at the post office, including office work, distribution of letters and delivery of postal items. However, I made an effort to deliver the letter on time. If the customer kept track of his mail, he would have been able to contact the post office.
