Sambalpur: A rare incident, son arrested after attacking parents with knife

Redhakol: The arrest of a son who attacked his father and mother with a knife in Gushuramal village of Redhakol police station on Tuesday has become a topic of discussion in the area. According to the information received, Gautam Naik (30) of the village was abusing his wife for some reason. However, his father’s Bandhu Naik and mother Surubali Naik intervened and stopped him and argued in favor of the daughter-in-law. Out of anger, Gautama attacked his parents with a knife. After Bandhu Naik reporting this to the police station, the police registered a case, arrested Gautam and proceeded to court. Meanwhile, the injured Bandhu and Surubali are being treated at Redhakol hospital.
