Sambalpur: 8th Foundation Day of IIM Sambalpur, 1 lakh Prize money to 7 merit students
Burla: The 8th convocation of IIM Sambalpur has been celebrated at its temporary campus in Jyotibihar. IAS officer Tarun Kapur was the chief guest, MCL director Keshav Rao, TPWODL CEO Ghazanan Kale, Unmukta founder Chandra Vikas were the guests of honour. Mr. Kapur, the chief guest at the event under the patronage of Prof. Mahadev Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, emphasized on achieving excellence in any field. MCL Director Mr. Rao expressed the hope that IIM Sambalpur can establish itself as the best institute at the national level in the coming days. Taking MCL as an example, he said that the country’s smallest state-owned coal company now contributes 20 percent to the country’s total production. IIM Director Prof. Jaiswal said that the institution is determined to move forward based on its motto of Integrity, Inclusion, and Innovation. Chandra Vikas, the founder of Unmukta, said that it is important to be self-reliant in fuel for the economic stability of the country. Mr. Kale, CEO, TPWODL, spoke about how the country’s progress is linked to energy production. IIM Professor Dr. Pramithi Ranjan Mohapatra conducted the questionable program. On this occasion, the students who secured the top 7 positions in the MBA 2021 batch were given a prize of 1 lakh rupees each.
