Sambalpur: Driver fled away with the rice-laden truck, 4 persons arrested, truck and rice seized
Sambalpur: A written complaint was filed at Sasan Police Station regarding the driver of the truck who fled away with the rice-laden truck. Police have arrested 4 people in this case. The four accused who were arrested are Chinu Rao alias Ganesh (40) of Burla Thana Ludukhai, Vijaya Jena alias Babuna (35) and Hemant Das (38) of Burla Golgunda and Vijaya Dansena (38) of Katapali.
4 accused were arraigned on Sunday. Police said that the 4 accused who were arrested had planned to sell 290 packets of rice loaded in the truck. On the other hand, the accused who bought the rice has not been arrested while the truck and all the rice have been seized.
Notably, Ganesh drives Anup Saraf’s truck (ORE 15 R 2044) of Dhanupali. On Friday evening, Ganesh loaded 290 packets of rice and instead of unloading it at the FCI warehouse in Khurigaon, he grabbed the rice and fled away with the truck. As per the plan, he sold the said rice in the Burla area. After making a written complaint about this, the police registered a case and started investigating the incident
