Sambalpur: 1 quintal 20 kg Marijauna with Innova seized from Majhipali area, 4 International Marijauna Smugglers arrested
Sambalpur: A large quantity of Marijauna (ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ) was seized during a smuggling operation by the District Excise Department on Thursday and 4 person of the International Marijauna Smugglers were arrested. On the instructions of the senior officers, the team of Sadar Excise Department stopped the suspect Innova car bearing number UP 65 AU 4849 near Majhipali on State Highway No. 10, Sambalpur – Rourkela.
6 packed white cotton sacks were seized from the innova car and 20 kg of marijauna was found in each sack. Total 120 kg of Marijauna were seized. Saurabh Maurya (22) of Sarnath, Banarasi district of Uttar Pradesh and Sunny Kumar (19), Abhishek Kumar (21) and Sumit Sharma (23) of Dalmia town of Rohtas district, Bihar were in the innova car, were arrested and seized 120 kg marijauna along with the car. The 4 accused has been arraigned on Thursday.
