Sambalpur: Sadar Tehsil Office was shifted to the detention office premises near Jail chowk during the night

Sambalpur: Finally, the Sambalpur Sadar office has been shifted to the Detention Office premises near Jail Street. All the documents of the office have been shifted amid security measures on Friday night. Today is the fourth Saturday and tomorrow is Sunday, taking advantage of this, the office is shifted. It is said that the few remaining materials will be shifted to the new building in these two days. However, an official said that the Sadar Tehsil office will be operational in New Building from next Monday.

It is worth noting that several attempts have been made to shift the Sadar Tehsil office in Kacheri area to its new building. Such an effort has been in progress for about 3/4 years, but due to the opposition of the lawyers, it could not be effective. In the context of the High Court movement, after the unfortunate incident of December 12, lawyers are less likely to protest as fiercely as before. Taking advantage of this, steps have been taken by the administration to transfer the tehsil office with great prudence and caution.

Now the district and mandal office of the fisheries department is being managed in the said building. A few months ago, the office of the Fisheries Department was shifted to this building from Kamali Bazar. However, after the tehsil office is established there, there is a plan to shift the office of the fisheries department to another place.
