Sambalpur : Seminar on Organ Donation at Burla, VSSUT
Burla: A discussion cycle on organ donation has been held at VSSUT in Burla. The General Secretary, National Deceased Donor Transplantation Network, attended the event and VSSUT former student Eng. Trilokyanath Panda highlighted the need and benefits of posthumous organ donation. He said that if someone had signed the will for organ donation during his lifetime, the family should remember it and proceed to donate the organ after his death. Liver, kidney, lungs, bone marrow, skin, eyes, and heart of a dead person. vein, arteries stomach, ear etc. can be donated, he said. On this occasion, many interested students of VSSUT, who were present in the seminar, filled out and signed the application form for organ donation by staff and teachers. Finally, the Dean of the Department of Computer Science Prakash Heta, addressed Eng. Panda and thanked him for encouraging the students in such an important way. Among others, Prof. Sanjay Patra, Prof. Prakash Chandra Swain, Dr. Subhendu Narayan Mishra, Dr. Saroj Kumar Pradhan, Surendra Singh Kabli of Student Union, Divya Mahon and other students were present.
