Sambalpur: Anganwadi workers’ movement starting from 13th March
Burla: Demanding increase in allowances, pension, worker status to mini Anganwadi workers, worker status to workers and helpers, Rs 5 lakh assistance to retired workers and families of deceased workers, From the 13th of next March, the organists and their supporters will go on an indefinite day and night movement. The decision was taken in the West Odisha-wide extended working meeting held under the leadership of the West Odisha Organists and Helpers Association at the Sambalpur Press Association on Sunday. In a meeting presided over by Senior Vice President Rukmini Juadi, general editors Prabhasini Padhi, Lily Mishra, Dishila Dhurua, Balakrishna Bhoi, Pramila Singh, Kshitishuta Mishra, Kanak Pradhan, Ranjita Kerekta, Nitamba Das Magar took this decision. Later, in a press conference, he said that the government has already increased the allowance. It is difficult to face the current situation. On the other hand, the daily workload continues to increase. Therefore, the union has been demanding 26,000 allowances, raising the retirement age to 65, and excluding them from the village welfare committee. The government informed that if the problem is not resolved immediately, the organ workers and assistants will go on strike from March 13th.
