Sambalpur: Rally and protest in front of the District Collector’s office due to Complaints of problems in electricity & drinking water supply

Sambalpur: There is increasing public dissatisfaction regarding the supply of electricity and drinking water in Sambalpur city. People have expressed their anger over the frequent power cuts during the starting of summer days. In addition, residents of Badabazar area have complained that if there is dues of outstanding electricity bills then the TPWODL is disconnecting the connection when no one is at home.

In addition, the public health department’s water supply system is of very low quality and the water supply is short-term, with very little water coming. For this reason area people suffer a lot of problems. Due to the disorder situation in the electricity and drinking water supply, the residents of Badabazar came to a rally in front of Sambalpur District Collector’s office on Wednesday and protested. The area people have given a demand letter to Sambalpur District Collector to take action and resolve the situation as soon as possible.

Jayaram Bania, Durga Prasad Dehuri, Rajnikant Meher, Swamidas Sahu, Manoj Palsania, Prabhakar Pattnaik, Prahlad Bansal, Mahesh Agarwal, Nilambar Panda, Chedilal Bansal, Ram Patnaik, Bhagyavan Pandey, Anand Agarwal, Sanjeev Sinha, Pradeep Meher, Anil Suna were the prominent who performed the rally.
